New BLMA Unit train car

I guess BLMA will have a new Unit train freight car I hope it is the 4 bay coal hopper tangent has, I could use B&LE and Clinchfield cars as well as others of this type of coal hopper Its on their facebook page I guess the add will be in the upcoming N scale Railroading. I sure wish someone would do a knew 4740, but I don't think this is it.

Well good for BLMA to get another car announced before the last one even hits the shelves, but how about some new paint schemes on the cars they already have?  There are paint schemes on the 70-ton gondola, PS4000 and Dry-Flo I can use.

Yeah I would like to see ICG in the 4000 and could use more gons, I asked about the gons and they said there would be more roadnames.

Craig mentioned in a blog post a few months ago that they were down in Georgia and Florida on CSX lines doing an R&D trip for the new car. Most likely modern.

I was wondering the same thing, but they did release the Juice Train as foobs using their current units. Hard to justify the difference for new tooling. What else runs as unit trains in that area? Or if that trip was not for R&D and anything goes, I'm calling for an Oil unit train. Since the last release was transition area, this one should be modern (or fairly recent) More free PR playing the BLMA guessing game

Anyway, if Craig decides to do the UP H-100-16 I will really be in a pickle. What I need want is the slightly earlier H-100-10, and lots of 'em, but... but... but... will Craig be willing to "foob" the H-100-16 with -10 lettering as a close enough? (They are close. Really close. I held up a picture of an H-100-10 next to Tangent's -16 and cannot see any differences. There has to be something, but nothing I could find right off.)

Actually, THREE if you count two separate announcements of beer cars.   I suppose you're assuming the two rounds of beer cars (pun intended) will get here before an official announcement takes place.   But anyway, what the heck are those BLMA boys and girls doing?   Less railfan photos, more working!   

I think I'll start a poll....which gets here first:
A. BLMA Beer Cars
B. Intermountain SD40-2
C. Deluxe Innovations Maxi-IV (a mere 7 years in the making, as of last count)

Mike:  I don't know how the UP labels car classes, but if they're like some roads I know, there may not be any differences H-100-10 and the H-100-16, just a different purchase order for identical cars.

In this case there is likely a difference, albeit clearly subtle. The -10 cars were built by Bethlehem Steel and the -16 (and after) cars were assembled at UP car shops. I suspect it's something like using different suppliers for brake systems or trucks. I'll bet there's a UPHS newsletter article about this, so I need to peruse the master index and see if there's clarity to be found.

+1 on the 4740. 

An important model from 1966 through the present for almost all railroads (because they were so numerous they should up everywhere).
