I had typed in YD and spell check "fixed" it...  so you're pretty condensed...

Even when you make more room, you still don't make enough room to have what you want :D

So true, you always need a couple more feet this way or that, regardless of what you have. Still, you have a very nice space to work with and it's turning out very nice. So, less may not be more, but maybe it's enough...
Enjoy the progress, I am...

Well, I was off from work all this week so here's where the layout room stands as vacation ends.  I was able to get the backdrops hung on the Hanover/Porters side of the layout, which allowed the installation of the drop ceiling.  Big thanks to my buddy Ken, who has the O Scale Western Maryland Dutch Line layout that I help out on, for the large part of the ceiling work.  After that was all taken care of, I was able to start benchwork on the upper level.  Bittinger will be sitting on modules picked up from @jpec and will work out great.  Exactly the size I was thinking for the quarry.  Benchwork is completed on the second level almost to where Ag Com will now be situated.

I am out of 1x4s so benchwork on the other only extends to the far end of the Utz factory siding.

Also got the floors covered back up with the foam floor mats.  I love these things, much nicer than standing on concrete all night.

Love the progress! Can't wait to see it all up and running and I'm glad you'll have more room for a more complete version of your vision.

I love how much space you have between the levels.

You'll still need lighting for the lower deck. LED string?

Yes, I'll be looking into different options for the lower deck.

Meanwhile, I only had Sunday to work this weekend so didn't get as much done.  I was able to get all the foam in place on the upper level.

And on the other side, I got another piece of upper level benchwork in place and the foam here as well.  Also got lower level backdrop in place and started the upper level.  Need another piece of masonite to finish.

Adam, have you seen this?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lincoln-Train-Station-Gettysburg-N-Scale-1-160-Hollow-2pc-EASY-to-Assemble/283449795742?hash=item41feeca49e:g:Bc8AAOSwPF9csOyr

Looks like it's only the front part of the building, but that's the hard part!

Thinking about getting one of these myself...

Yeah, ed pointed it out to me on FB.  But look at the city hall listing as well.  Eerily similar, and same price

The color photo of the painted station does not look like the same building you see in the raw grey plastic. Looks like a different bell and a lot of work went into cleaning it up.

The city hall listing is Z scale, I believe.  And yes, there is a bit of clean up with this guy's stuff.  See my review of the Ghostbusters firehouse in the product discussion page.

I just noticed the bell being different.  I had sent a message asking about the rest of the station.  Seller says he lost the file for the back half in a computer crash, intends on redoing it as time allows over the summer.  I mentioned cleaning up the raw building, lots of resolution lines hide the brick, he said there is a good bit to get it where it is for the finished picture.  I'm not so sure on it, Lee go ahead and get one and you can be the test subject :D
