I received my order from MBK this afternoon and proceeded to replace remaining Atlas turnouts with the Peco's I ordered.  All turnouts on the main have now been replaced.

I also added a few things I will call 'Ed'isms .  After visiting @Ed Kapuscinski Windsor St yard, I stopped by Staples today and bought a couple things.

First up, a small dry erase board to show which trains are on which tracks.

Secondly, I got a push pin caddie, dumped out the pins and replaced it with a track eraser.  I'm always misplacing my track cleaner, so now I have a place for it.

Milestone reached today on the CSX Hanover Subdivision.  All mainline is now ballasted !  Next up sidings and branchlines.  Crews stopped for a photo op.

Ballast train W009 waits on the mainline while the crew for Q763 Loaded Rock Runner Hanover, PA to Baltimore, MD, behind its regularly seen power of 2-3 SD50's, prepares to leave the Vulcan Quarry at Bittinger as soon as its air check is complete.  Then W009 will back its empty train into the loadout, fill its cars with fresh ballast and move on to their next job.

A few other things to mention in the photo.  In the foreground, I added another track to the small yard at Bittinger.  This will be known as the Lime track.  I'm not certain as to what I want to do for a building/loadout.  Also, I got the siding for the Utz potato chip factory installed, raising it above the mainline by using two layers of cork.  I recently moved the center divider about 3/4" back to allow for at least a little bit of relief to add some depth to the factory background building instead of just a photo or styrene glued directly to the backdrop.

Lol, Edisms... I prefer calling them Edgasms!

But I love the progress. If you ever want me to do a book for you, I'm game.

I have a bunch of projects in the works at the moment, but here's how to get the ball rolling.
Think about what I've included in mine.
Put together the text for something similar.
Shoot some photos of above of the various locations.
Find some similar prototype documents that I might be able to steal formatting from (2016 CSX docs look a lot different than 1985 Conrail ones).
And have patients while I work through the projects currently in the queue.

Whoa, that'll take a while for Adam to get that medical degree first.

This weekend I cleared the yard of all traffic and cleaned the track.  Also removing any ballast that had crept up the sides of the rails.  So much fun !!  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

I also put some roadways in around the power tracks in the yard.  It is much darker in person than the photo shows.  Still need to get some material to represent sand for when crews test out the sanders before leaving.

Adam, you're doing a great job of capturing the flavor of the Hangover sub.  Kudos!

I can only do it with the help of the  :ashat: 's here on TRW.  Whether it be by direct ideas or suggestions, or by viewing what others are doing on their layouts, I feel that it only allows me to strive to be that much better.  And for that, I thank all of you.

Even if I sit here at my desk and think What the hell are they talking about !!!!

I need to get another coat of spackle on this road, so I used it as a test .  Hit road surface with flat black spraybomb, and did lines with paint pens.  Good thing it's a test.  Have to get better  at start/end of lines, or get a longer straightedge .
