I picked up a Digitrax DB150 with power supply on eBay for almost half price, hopefully will have layout back up and running by next weekend.

With no power to layout, I turned my attention to painting some track, with in turn moved to weathering some rolling stock.  I didn't go hog wild on them, mostly just some road grime on trucks, fuel tanks and lower portions of cars.  I started my track painting with a Woodland Scenics paint pen, but didn't like how that turned out, still lots of shiny rail between the rail spikes, so I went to the airbrush, first with brown but then with weathered black.  Will use the paint pen around the turnouts.

3 Exactrail boxcars, and the 2 Atlas 4750's in next track

2 NS locomotives and my NS coal train that will serve the paper mill

I also did some landscaping around Ag Com just to add some color to the layout, especially here with the open house coming up in 2 weeks.  This and Security are the first areas you see depending on if you come across the landing at steps, or come around back of steps.

I painted the yard area this morning.

After the trains came back into the yard, I noticed a gathering at the west end of the yard

When minions are involved, it can't end well....

22-24 cars fit in the longest yard track (3rd one in from right where coal hoppers are sitting)  15-16 on far left track.

Progress. Looks good. I still like that curve in the middle of the yard.

Those Minions are obviously CSX employees.

I think the minions were looking for bananas.  That train had a single UP trinity reefer in consist.  Train crew would not provide information and contacted RR police.  Minions dispersed before they could arrive on scene.  Turns out while reefer was running, someone left it on by mistake.  Car was empty

Layout was opened for public viewing this weekend during LHS open house. Had 75 visitors on Saturday, only 15 on Sunday. Very few issues during showings, amounted to mostly truck/coupler issues. With last few weeks and issues I'd been having with my Zephyr heading south for repairs, not being able to do much troubleshooting or programming on locomotives, I was somewhat hesitant of participating this weekend but couldn't be happier with results.

Have throw an extra special thank you out there to @Ed Kapuscinski for loaning me a throttle to use for the weekend.  Wouldn't have been able to run trains without it.

I came home to find that what I can only explain as a time warp had occurred on the CSX Hanover Subdivision.  Here is WM #501, in what I am guessing is the late 1960's/early 1970's, pulling a short local past the future site of Ag-Com.

Maybe they look better on the module.  What do you think @wm3798 ?

Actually, with the addition of this motive power, I could technically pull off a tri-era  :scared:
