My layout height is only 42" or thereabouts, so I have a little more leeway with the reach police.  But your idea of access on both sides is something else I will have to look into .

I was thinking more of the visual impact than reach in actually, but even at 42 inches human armpits are usually closer than we think to impacting delicate details.

Adam: I admire how you have no hesitation to uproot what you have to make things fit your scheme or remedy flaws. Not only that, you have things back in operation  in just a few days.

Quoted for truth. Adam is quite the Agile Model Railroading practitioner!

Hey, what can I say ?  Have freight to move and can't do that without having the lines connected  :D

The gentleman over on NSN did version 2.0 for the mill area.  Might be on to something :)  This was expanded to 27" wide.

I like it. I was concerned about the reach distance on the sidings in the back, but at least the one on the left can be reached from the end.

Have you mocked it up in person yet?

No, I'm not that fast  :D  he just posted it tonight.  I've been helping my dad on a tearout job as he is replacing a floor with new hardwood last couple nights so I haven't had time to cut lumber for the extension.  I have a meeting at 3 Wednesday afternoon, hoping my dad won't need me tomorrow and I can come home and get extension together.  I think I have enough flex laying around I can get an idea of it but will probably have to go pick some up again

Once spackling dries, I will lay out/mock up new track arrangements.

I see you have the opportunity to model "Warm Springs" back there in the corner... :)

I may include the bridge scene at Gladfelter there, so we could tap the heat.  It is hooked into the geothermal  :D

Here is very rough set up.  Just when i thought I had enough turnouts to replace all my Atlas ones, I go and make the layout bigger and I need more   I just put some structures in there for spot holders for now so it didn't look so bare.  A lot of scratchbuild/kitbash to go on here.

Today was full bore on the paper mill.  I was able to get the return loop in but that will result in a second reverse loop.  I need some help on how to block/wire these off.  First up an overall shot, then from right to left, starting at the end of wye where the old reversing section started with tracks gapped at the wye switch.

This is cool. I liked the original unconnected version but if it gives you more bang for the buck running wise then it's all good.

I like the presence of the town too, because that's very much Spring Grove.
