Nice to an ICG unit made the platform.

Finally a production FWWR loco, but of course it's way past my era, dangit!   Guess I need to get back on that Geep project again.

I really hope IMRC gets one round shipped before announcing any more.   They're really hurting their sales if they're truly good locos.   (I suppose conversely if they're NOT that great, this is a better strategy  )

Oh heavens, IMRC is going to drive me to bankruptcy...

Wheeling and Lake Erie units, more BN SD40-2's, the FWWR, wow....hope they can live up to today's standards when the first units actually hit the street.

There goes my plan for HH NW SD40-2 units.  I'm probably still going to do the conversions on the Kato units I have anyway.  Maybe switch it to SD45 units instead...  :D

Cheers,
Brian

I hope they live up to expectations too.  The range of paint schemes they are going to offer will make a lot of people happy, I think.

V&O!  8 years too new for me, but still tempting.

I definitely want a few N&W units!  If these are as good as we hope, and have the right trucks, my wallet will not like it!

Agreed, though its really too old for my era - and they STILL haven't done the white ghosts

Aw man... I'm modeling 1971 - missed the SD40-2s by one year. And no, I can't change model years, because then I'll have to sell dozens of PFE reefers since PFE stopped ice service reefers in 1972. Ratzafratz!

I just wish they'd do early UP, and they've yet to offer one in correct details for pre-1976 UP even if I had to repaint. They're scheduling two in UP paint, but only one was originally ordered as UP (a snoot from '76), the other is early C&NW and not right for UP until after the 1995 acquisition.

I have to wonder if they're intentionally not stepping on Kato's toes since their tooling is closer to my prototype, but, still, I'd like the opportunity to have models with 21st century detailing. The workbench project queue is completely out of control, the layout building dominates my life and I just don't have enough time left on this planet to model everything, so more-correct models off-the-shelf would be greatly appreciated at the moment.

I like the Wheeling and the MP units, but that NW one can only mean one thing; they'll be making a Southern high hood (unless I missed the announcement of those, which is completely possible  :ashat:)

Serious question, but I think you've answered before; why not state your modeling era as, say, 1970-1973? Then you get the best of both worlds and go bankrupt have more fun with trains!

No, I can't make myself do it! I'm mentally stuck in 1971, and I've built strong walls around my choice.

Hmm... you can change,
Kiz. Pretty please...?
