Here in Vancouver, B.C. we have just enjoyed our annual model railway show titled Trains 2014. The show comprises a two day public show with layouts and vendors, clinics, layout tours and a banquet. It is also the annual meet of the 7th Division PNR NMRA. Our N Scale PGE-BCR Modellers Group is a loose association of eight or nine people each modelling a different era and subdivision of the PGE-BCR in N Scale. Our members are scattered around the Pacific Northwest but we get together two or three times a year to display our models and layout display boards at shows. THis year was special as all of our members were present. The following photographs illustrate our activities during the weekend, and include the work of numerous Railwire members and visits to no fewer than four Railwire layouts.
Our weekend began with our annual dinner at Boston Pizza and a visit to Railwire member Greg Kennelly's layout depicting the PGE Squamish Subdivision in 1952:

Our display at the show ran across four tables, with nine members' models on display, a series of display boards illustrating our home layouts, and an operating Kato Unitrack layout surrounding it all:

After the Saturday show, our group visited Railwire member Gary Hinshaw's Tehachapi B.C. layout:

Our group was granted permission to run a passenger special comprising my ALCO C-425s 812 & 804, David Morgan's troop sleeper baggage car and Fox Valley day coach, my school coach BCOL 8, Jim Irwin's Royal Hudson coach, and Greg Kennelly's business car NORTHERN SUMMIT. The train is seen here negotiating the climb on Gary's layout:

Gary saw this as yet another opportunity to see how many people could fit in his layout room!

Then it was off to Olympia Pizza for a wonderful dinner:

After dinner we visited Mark Dance's Columbia & Western layout:

Our passenger special also ran on Mark's layout:

After the Sunday show our group enjoyed another fabulous dinner at the Cheshire Cheese Inn and then visited my layout depicting the BCR Dawson Creek Subdivision in 1977, where several members were keen to see and hear the LokSound-equipped GP-9:

And here are all nine member sof our N Scale group together in front of our display:

It is a privilege to have such a great group of friends all modelling the same railway. I hope you enjoy seeing their work.
