If you took away the etched running board and MTL couplers, I'd think this is something from Con-Cor/Kato circa 1978. 

The car looks nice except for the ribs which don't appear to come out far enough to the edge of the car.  There's a distinct difference between the 'deep' and 'shallow' ribs on the prototype.  The HO car looks similar so I doubt anything would be done about it and it's probably not something anyone besides me would notice. 

I think the trucks are the same as the BLMA 70 ton Ride Control, so at least that will be easy to improve.

I won't comment on the brake wheel except to say it a shame if BLI thinks that's good enough for N scale.

The brakewheels on the H2a hoppers are perfectly acceptable, and the trucks are highly detailed.
I have to assume/hope that the ones shown in these pre-production shots are standins for the real thing.

The wheels have a much wider tread than the FVM wheelsets, but I've noticed that Atlas have quietly widened the treads on the PS1 wheelsets also.

Con-Cor

I con-cor, I was thinking they looked like the old Con-Cor wheels (that never stayed on the rails, IIRC).
