Anyone have any updated info about the IM SD40-2s?

Any of you out there have any better senses of when we may be seeing the upcoming Intermountain SD40-2s?

I see that it says "Nov/Dec", but I also see that it doesn't mention a year: http://www.intermountain-railway.com/newsncomingsoon.html

We also haven't seen any test shot pics yet, so I'm thinking they're still quite a bit aways.

Well, it's Nov 2..., I think it is safe to assume they meant 2014. 

I've heard nothing, but the Amherst show would be a good target for pre-production or painted versions, I would think.

Intermountain updates those lists every month so the year assumes is whatever is the nearest coming year.  That is Nov/Dec would be 2014. If it says Jan then it's 2015 and so forth.

That said, they are not hesitant about changing due dates.  I'd look again about mid month and see what it says then.

Right now, the page says Nov/Dec and December for the first two runs.   I posted the question on their FB page to see if they have any update.

Thankfully my KCS grey ghost isn't due until after the first of the year.  I may be able to sell enough plasma by then to actually buy the thing.

If it holds true, my SCL (Family Lines) SD40-2 isn't due until Jan/Feb 2015, which would make for a reeeeeeeal nice birthday present!

At some time in the not to distant future, IM will release a locomotive that will somewhat replicate a prototype SD40-2, with handrails that may or may not be brittle, and paint that may or may not look accurate for various road names. It may or may not perform well, and might sound like a minature locomotive instead of a steroid pumped Norelco. No debate about it, it will definitely cost you big bucks.

The first run was supposed to be out in October/November.  I pre-ordered one in the YN3 CSX figuring it would be a birthday present to myself.  My birthday was Oct 31 and no engine.  I still have the pre-order email in my saved messages file and it says they were due Oct/Nov '14.

They posted the next run announcement on their FB page and someone asked about an update on first run.  IM commented back with "I'm thinking it will be mid next year but I know the production & design guys are reviewing it now."

Yeah, that was me.  I can't tell if they were being smart-alecks or not.   May have been their way of saying "look at the effing website...says Nov/Dec."    At least I'm hoping that's the case.

I took the page saying November to be this year and Nov/Dec to be next year. Seems like it's listing out in order of delivery schedules and that was also the impression I got from whom I pre-ordered them through,
