I'd like to get a set just because, but there is too much other PRR stuff coming out this winter and spring.  I hope they sell well though.

Does anyone in the world have a radius large enough?

"Minimum Operating Radius: 9.75 in" From BLI's website. The two power trucks are articulated and the leading trucks are attached to those. At least on the HO model, I imagine the N would be similar, especially given the advertised radius.

I want...but don't want.  You can't run singles, so you have to buy A-A sets.  My only saving grace is that the real ones spent most of their time west of Altoona by '56 in helper service around the Curve and over the hill.

That said, I kind of feel obligated to buy them to keep the N scale Pennsy coming...  They would look sweet on the head-end of the Broadway Limited.

HO on 9.75" radius? That I'd like to see.

If I hadn't just blown my budget on the UP excursion train, I'd get the semi-fantasy UP versions, which are only available as a pair, anyway. It's easy(ier) for me to resist them since there is some conflict on what were to be their assigned numbers, and, had they been delivered, they would have been renumbered in about three months, anyway. My resistance to dropping the coin is somewhat bolstered by BLI's bulletproof paint - I would likely not have much success cleanly renumbering to the plausible series.

For those that don't use Facebook and are surfing on a browser that forces a login, the photos are also on BLI's website.

Actually Seaboard Air Line rebuilt theirs so that they would m.u. with other builders power, often used with ALCO FA and FB units on its line into Atlanta, Ga.

Ok...  You can't run Pennsy singles, so you have to by A-A sets.

I've had one of those in brass for years and never got a second unit. Never ran worth a damn anyhow and the only use I got out of it was when I would put it on the dead line.

I loaned it to him some time back and he checked it over.  If you check the Spookshow site, that is my loco he now shows.  Guess the price of these on flebay will go way down now.

I'm glad they are finally making good on their M1 promise and quickly moving forward on their subsequent N scale announcements..  I'm beginning to look forward to their announcements.  ~Ian
