Hi all, I'm not going to make a big announcement except to say that my newest kit, the 8-40-CM is available. You can purchase it through my website at www.briggsmodels.ca

Thanks all...some really nice work on here I'm seeing. This is my last kit, and I can't wait to follow and do some real modeling of my own.

Ouch, $100 for a undecorated body shell. I know these are not off the shelf models, but that seems a little pricey.

Worth every cent.  I've been looking forward to this.  The only question is to finish in CN or BCR.  :D

I agree with Scott, Jeff's kits are well worth the price, especially considering these models are not available from any other manufacturer.  I have a half dozen of his kits, the most recent being his M-420 which is superb, only wish I had more time to complete them.

My only regret is that this is his last kit, now I will have to make my own RS-23.

Chris Dittmar wanted me to do a low nose conversion front end for the LL RS18...that's a simple project I'm going to do late this year or early next. It doesn't require any complicated things like trucks or etched parts.

Jeff, if truck and chassis resources are an issue, the Con-Cor SW-1200 (sold as a 1500), will accept the Atlas-Kato RS-3 trucks, providing a suitable platform for an RS-23 (some had the Type B truck) and the stock Con-Cor chassis would work for an S-13.  May need some more research, but I did play around with this option a few years ago.  Just a thought.

I have a couple spare SD40-2 chassis sitting on the shelf, I am very tempted to pick a couple of these kits up...

I'm chomping at the bit to start.  CN or BCR... I really like the CN zebra version, but I need one or two BC units too.

This is a milestone.  I think that is the last of the modern diesels for CN out in kit form.

If it's as good as the M420 kits then it's well worth the $135.  I'm building four of those as I type and they are really nice kits.  My two -8s are on the way as well.
