No, because on eBay as a seller I can't even give a negative rating most of the time for whatever reason!  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

I have feeling that he respect rating system will be abused.  I can see pissing matches starting (especially of the points are given anonymously).  I come here not for "likes" or for respect - I come here to discuss model trains (and sometimes some off-the-wall subjects in the Lounge).  I don't need no stinkin' respect.

At least eBay gives you a chance to see who rated you (good or bad).

Follow the history of eBay ratings and the evolution or should I say devolution.

You know, it's possible to ignore it.

Your Railwire score is not the measure of your human worth.

I plan on it.  I just wonder how long it is until it is used to start banning members.   :P

I agree, so why have it in the first place?  :|
Just another OT thing to bicker about. Unless it is N and Z scale respect!  :D

So people who have low numbers can see it, and in a moment of self awareness, think about adjusting their behavior.

You really think that this will happen?!  You're very optimistic!    First of all, people don't change their personality that easily (especially when looking as anonymously given feedback), then the feedback itself is flawed in the first place (again, because it is anonymous).

I guess whatevah...  :|

I don't know how the admins plan to set it up, but the system doesn't have to be anonymous.  I think you can at least you can see who voted, if not how.  And it's much better than the Karma mod since you can see the posts that generate the overall number.

I'm not a fan of the '+1' and I don't like the 'members who found this post useful' mod found on other forums, but I think a good post/bad post system could work well on several levels.  It could also suck eggs, in which case they'll take it down.  No big deal.

I actually would like to see you guys make even a bigger deal out of this non-existent feature, if you would be so inclined!

I didn't say personality, I said behavior.
