It least it isn't as absolutely STUPID as the Navy's latest marketing "slogan"
"America's Navy..Global Force for Good"
Really, that's the best the multi-million dollar marketing firm could come up with?  Beats "Army of One" though.
At least the "Building America" is fairly accurate.  The railroads are a major part of why this country has been settled like it has, and UP is the only major RR still using its same logo and name for the last 150 years.
Can't model worth a darn, but can research like an SOB.

Well, no change in slogan, turns out it's just the name of the new ad campaign...

However, pretty cool I think - and I like the gritty look of in service locomotives that were used:

Well, I'm glad it didn't change, mostly for grammatical reasons.  "America Proud" is taking a noun and turning it into an adverb modifying an adjective and just doesn't flow well or work in a sentence as written, to me anyway. It also cuts out important words in the phrase. Compare:

[We are, or UP is] Building America.      -this works

America [is] Proud.                               -these don't
[We are] Proud Americans.
[UP is] Proud [of] America.

I have a similar dislike of the "Ford Tough" campaign for the same reasons.

You got that wrong.
It's : "We are the Borg.  You will be assimilated.  Resistance is futile."
The last sentence is very important.

That was weird.. I watched the video with TV on in the background... and not even 5 seconds after the youtube video ended, the commercial played on TV..

The theme sounds VERY familiar indeed, although I suspect it was written for the spots and designed to "sound like a familiar cinematic theme".

Worked on me. American GI's rescued my Polish Grandfather from a concentration camp, so these things matter to me.

Given they were going for a diabetes inducing level of saccharine I'm amazed that there weren't more images of bald eagles, Abe Lincoln and the Constitution.
