Yep. Besides, never heard of a donut shop being successful robbed. Somebody tried to rob the Dunk 'n Dine in Atlanta once. The suprising part was the perp actually got the money and got to the door before the cops came in and grabbed him. But Starbucks on the other hand..........

Seriously though. As much as we need new industries, we need the kind of structure's you find around town too. As far as industries goes. just looking at it objectively and not from a standpoint of what I personally want. It would be nice to see some other modern industries like a Corn Syrup Distribution facility, which gives modelers some place to send the corn syrup cars. Or maybe a bakery that will give an industry to send tank cars of vegetable oil and Airslides loaded with Sugar and Flour, or even a Rail car repair facility, where you can send any car you want to.

I think so.  I have it in my notes from the manufacturer's breakfast as the NSC 53-ft well car.

The Duncan Hines cake mix factory down the street from us gets 8-12 cars of flour a week, standard 4-bay centerflows setup for pneumatic unloading. You can see four cars on the setout track waiting their turn inside, which has capacity for six. The Monday-thru-Friday local does their switching, taking the empties with them. Sugar comes via truck; finished product leaves by truck as well. This site was formerly the Hollywood Candy Company HQ and production facility, famous for PayDay and Zero candy bars, among others.

They are served by the BNSF (former CB&Q), and I think the Missouri-Illinois RR (abd. mid-1980s) also had a spur into the plant but I would have to verify that. I would presume during the heyday that much raw material and finished confections came and went by rail.

Corn syrup cars can go most anywhere in a medium-scale manufacturing setting, even just a plain-Jane tilt-up building in an office park. A local generic-brand soft drink bottler - "Vess" - typically has three tank cars of HFCS on a small spur feeding the production line, as seen here.

Aww. I've been waiting for that donut shop. Finally, an industry that can use all those sugar and flour hoppers I've been collecting.

BTW, I think Randy's Donuts is the prototype for the Walthers model. A local icon, it has been seen in several movies and TV shows. A couple of disaster-in-L.A. movies used it with a CGI bite taken out of it.

If it's good enough for Iron Man and Nick Fury, then it's good enough for N scalers.

Seriously, you don't want me to get started on this. I can only recall a few sets with black figures:
That Baptist set 
And the Pullman porters 
Oh and lets not forget the WS prisoners set   

I'm a bit surprised WS hasn't done a "thug" set yet.

Seriously, no black people in sweaters or suits. No black cops or firemen. No black engineers or doctors. It's like looking at a 1950's TV show.

Think of it this way... If you model the 1960's there are hippies and suits and police and army figures and no blacks. You couldn't even model a protest about racial N scale inequality because they're no figures to model it with.
