Well you know how it is for an easterner. All I knew about UP SP and SF were what I saw in the mags where a challenger was always just a shorter big-boy.
Hey guys I really do appreciate it!!!Otto, all of the buckeye trucks I tried were too long. It is one of those details I will correct with time. There is still work to be done on the engine. I am just happy the concept work. I owe a lot to drasko for the vision of using the EM-1 boiler on the challenger.
I used the EM1 mechanism and tender trucks and frame to build the SP AC-9. The boiler was the only part left over from that build and I am glad I was able to get it to go onto the Athearn Challenger mechanism for this early challenger.
