Product Dicussion Forum

OK, not sure why it was decided to create this category, but with no reference to scale in the title it is a pain in the rear. I wish it were either changed to scale specific or done away with.

Can you be more specific about the pain?

I think it would be awesome to have a button or drop down to pick your scale and then be able to sort the topics by scale.  This would allow you to quickly identify your scale of interest.

So that we didn't have to pick through pages of people bitching to see real modeling.

The last time I counted, 46 of the last 50 threads in that forum were about N scale products.  If you're an N scaler, you must have been really unlucky in your browsing; if not, we're probably not the forum for you.

In the end, this forum is going to live or die by the contribution of it members, not by how the threads are organized. Showcase your creativity!

Also, (and yes, this has been said already in other threads) ...

I just use the 'Show unread posts...' link.   The organization of the threads into certain forums is entirely irrelevant to me.

Yes, but he is talking about not knowing the scale. I always try to mention the scale if it anything other than N. Otherwise just assume N.

Exactly. Do I really need to pick through all of them to find the ones relevant to my scale?

Since there have been a couple of complaints along these lines, how about at sticky thread suggesting a thread title format like "N Scale - Product X from Rapido". Perhaps the mods could reformat the titles on page 1 so people get the hint.

I actually created a helpful sticky post in this forum, just for this situation:

Yes, but...

I am saying I'm not a scale snob.  I'll read about any scale if it interests me.  Of course it's also true that if I weren't an N-scaler then this wouldn't be the website I frequent the most.
