Can manufacturer requests and/or ideas move to Product Discussion?

Jason

Yes, being product discussions.

It takes some effort to move threads so it won't be done at once.

No, I'm really confused as to why you don't see the checkboxes then.  Note that you *only* see them when you are click the "show unread" or "show replies".

Can anyone else chime in?  Maybe something is screwed up.

I don't see any boxes, Tom.  It looks the same as it did before you made this revision.

No check boxes for me either, but I just assumed mods were not allowed to ignore threads.  ;)

The bookmark feature is very nice though.

Looks like a known issue with the mod for forums with >100K posts.

I'll see if I can fix his code, but we'll probably have to wait for an update.

Aha, you have to go to "Profile" -> "Look and Layout", and then at the bottom change the "Show quick-moderation as" to "checkboxes".   Then click "Change Profile" to save your changes.

Then, from the "Unread Posts" page, click the checkboxes that you want to ignore, and then click "Ignore Topics".

You can see a list of the topics you are ignoring under "Profile" -> "Ignore Topics Options"

Note that there is a limit: "You are limited to a maximum 100 ignored topics. When ignoring more topics than your limit, the oldest ones get replaced (So that you never exceed the limit). "

Thanks Tom!

Thanks, Ed.  That worked.  Now, whose thread will I ignore first?

I had no idea that "you people" had access to quick moderation!

I set the limit to 100.  If we need to change that in the future, fine.

I was sad too. I had hoped that the Z board would catch on, but it never really did.  There were only about 30 new topics over the last 1.5+ years, and that is what the N board generates in two days.

This is the logic:  you know how a few people would post a prototype question in the N board to get attention?  Now, this will happen (because of no choice) with Z.  Z thread gets attention->more Z threads->eventually new Z board again.  When a board is languishing, no one wants to post in it.  Make sense?

 Yes Tom, make sense.

Just call the product discussion board jewelbox modifications and be done with it.

New board organization?  I'm fine with it as long as I'm named Emperor and there's some lady in a toga around willing to feed me grapes.   :D

When do we get spoiler show/hide functionality?

He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."
