  • The N and Z scale forums will be combined.

No like. Is there a way that I can hide the Z topics from my view?

I guess now we'll have to get peeps to include the scale in the thread title ....

Also, should product announcements really be mixed with reviews?

Bit sad to combine N and Z, such is life.

Sound okay other then that small point. All the best.

 ;)

I was sad too. I had hoped that the Z board would catch on, but it never really did.  There were only about 30 new topics over the last 1.5+ years, and that is what the N board generates in two days.

This is the logic:  you know how a few people would post a prototype question in the N board to get attention?  Now, this will happen (because of no choice) with Z.  Z thread gets attention->more Z threads->eventually new Z board again.  When a board is languishing, no one wants to post in it.  Make sense?

Until my post got moved I didn't even know this one existed.   Seems like we are running off N scalers to accommodate all other scales.  Let's just go back to our roots:

N scale modeling
New product announcement and reviews
DCC
Prototype
Crew lounge
Trading post

Dump the rest.

Note that you only see it under "show unread posts since last visit".

I think I need a tutorial in this.  I clicked the "Show unread posts since last visit" and have the list of said threads but I don't see anything that lets me ignore threads.

This is the logic:  you know how a few people would post a prototype question in the N board to get attention?

How about coming up with a "remote flogging" feature for those bad apples?  Something that would zap them through the keyboard when they try to do that?   :D  I hate those attention whores:trollface:

With the rearrangement of the forum I am also seeing lots more of "thread moved" posts (which eat up the screen space).

There is a list of checkboxes as the far right column.  Click the topic you want to ignore, and then click the Ignore Topics button above the list of threads and to the right.

We can have a Bachmann bash forum, an MTL bash forum, an Intermountain bash forum, a Walthers bash forum, and an assorted "I'm just angry" forum.  Each individual chronic basher (you know who you are!) can choose his least favorite manufacturer and post his bashing all the live long day!

Why don't we just make an argument forum?

I'm not seeing the checkboxes either.  Maybe I missed something - do you have a screenshot?

I've logged out/in, cleared cache, disabled add-ons, and upgraded Firefox, but no checkboxes.

Thanks,
Ed

Ed, under Profile/Modify Profile do you see an Ignore Topics link?

Can manufacturer requests and/or ideas move to Product Discussion?

Yes, there is an "Ignore Topics Options", and the list says "There are no topics currently ignored".   Is there something I have to enable?

No, I'm really confused as to why you don't see the checkboxes then.  Note that you *only* see them when you are click the "show unread" or "show replies".

Can anyone else chime in?  Maybe something is screwed up.
