Love the layout that is so prototypical weathered cars everywhere and you kept the camera still so I could watch the train 8) Keep up the great work.

One other really cool thing about the Loop, it lets you see both sides of the train in the same scene ;)

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Could be,  but he has a really big penny for "working" in Z!

Some rolling stock projects moved off the table.  First up was a pair of MTL auto boxcars deco'd for Pennsy.  The ride height is fairly good on these models and the offset bolster hole trucks have close to correct alignment, so minimal work included swapping in Trainworx ASF A-3 trucks with FVM wheels to match the prototype and body-mounted #1016 couplers.

I noticed after the fact that the roofwalks need to be changed.  One is "wood" and the other is "metal."  I have to check the prototype to see what is appropriate, and then swap in either FVM laser-cut wood roofwalks or one of the etched steel roofwalks.

Bryan,

Very nice modeling, but aren't the first two automobile box cars AAR ones from Intermountain?

He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Why is it that Chris has not written a 400 page hard-bound book on how to scratchbuild steam locomotive
models?  Chris, you kick out these magnificent etched metal beauties all the time.  Nobody can do what you do.
This is really great work.

Besides my Nn3 I got sucked into HOn30 with a new Minitrains locomotive. I etched some new parts for it including new outside frames. You can see just how boring the other original side is:

And I made a new tender for it

No.  I believe they are AAR prototype, but they are MTL.  MTL debuted the model in 1996 with PRR 82023.  PRR 81906 was the first reprint, from 2003.  PRR 81999 was the second reprint, from 2012, and included a laser-cut auto ramp.

Anyone see the F22 that was done over on PRRPro?

I saw the Shapeways page, but not that particular photo. I was so glad to see them that I almost bought a set.
Thank god I didn't because those don't look so good.

Over the course of last week and this weekend I gto NS 2510 painted and decaled.

Reese, Looking good. I've actually worked on that locomotive. It was in the shop last year for NLP (Not loading properly) I'm not sure if it's still working on the Pittsburgh division, but I can tell you it's sister unit the 2511, was at the house today. Do the ditch lights work on your locomotive?

Only thing I did this weekend was re-organize my trains to get ready for the big show in Chantilly, VA
Yesterday night I hard-wired a decoder into a Life-Like E-unit.
