Cripe.  Nearly a week to get to the obvious joke.

I'm glad it was me, though. As a side note, Lee, I took some out of towners to Kistlings last week.
I ordered 20 wings for myself. I ended up eating 8 because I severely underestimated the deliciousness of their chili cheese fries. BAH GAWD they were hands down the best loaded fried I've ever had.
Most places you get a gooey top and untouched fries underneath. NOT HERE, SISTER! It's like they tossed the fries in cheese and chili before they putting on the plate. The world needs more places that do that.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Nothing new to report, other than that there's nothing new to report.  Gradually tinkering away on the brewery, and slowly accumulating other stuff to build other stuff...

Hopefully soon...

That's very funny Lee. I'm the same with my SFRSD. Haven't touched it since October. I only have 4 buildings to build to complete my RR but just cannot get started .

Quick update...
Went to @seusscaboose 's ops session last weekend, and everything ran pretty well.  I pulled a few engines out of the storage crate, cleaned them up, and put together a nice drag of carbon footprint...

Tricked me into thinking I should start working on the little layout again...

So, I pulled another engine out, cleaned it up, and made with the bright boy around the loop...

It ran for several hours last night while I worked on meeting some deadlines.  It was nice.  a couple glowy lights, and the murmer of an Atlas GP38, soothing like an aquarium.

Looking at the numerous projects now with an eye toward planning, rather than a wistful eye...  It's nice.

Plus, I'm on the schedule to host the McGrattan Memorial Train... so I need to work on getting my poop in a group!

I look forward to updates on your layout, Lee.  I really miss your WM West End layout.

I had a similar moment as you when I received Tim Horton's email yesterday, and I realized the amount of talent on the list of folks to host the Memorial Train.  That, of course, caused some sudden panic to set in, realizing that the pressure to make my layout worthy of inclusion into the photographic memorial meant that I also needed to "get my poop in a group."  As it turns out, it appears that I have the only layout set in the southeastern United States that is participating.  No pressure.  :scared:

He-he. He said "poop"

I'm looking forward to seeing new progress as well. I've always admired Lee's work.

I did a double take today when I saw this photo, and thought for a minute.."Is the Laurel Valley an actual Railroad"?...
Was this paint scheme an inspiration, or just luck?
