PS-1 with 6' door,  I'm screwed (only to be repeated when the 10 stiffener roof is released).

Still no S-2 scheme that I could really use.

However, the GP9, Kaolin tankcar, Trainman 50' boxcar, 60' autoparts box, triple hopper. PS-1 40' boxcar, Evans gon are all of interest.

Why are you screwed?  You knew from way back the original release date was to be late this year.

4th Quarter for the 1st batch of S-2s. Does this mean they've fixed the problems? It must if they've announced a second run...

I forgot that they were going to be in this catalog.   But regardless, now I have a date and dollar value to put on it.  At least the undecs are quite a bit cheaper than the decorated.  I'm not ready to think about how many I need.

Ah. The S-2 in UP. Goodie. "Serves All The West/Road of the Streamliners" scheme. More goodie. Richie will be happy, too.

The shocker is a $120 premium for sound. Good thing I'm not a sounds nut.

The "good" news is that it discounts down to a slightly easier to handle ~$80 premium for DCC sound over plain DC.  Assuming around a $20 (probably closer to $25 discounted for a PnP) plain DCC decoder then the sound is a "mere" $60 additional. Quite a good price for an ESU LokSound Select. Especially a custom sized one (hopefully good in other small locomotives.).

And at least the price hasn't changed since the original announcement in March 2014 despite the  8 or 9 month delay.

Evans gons and 60' auto boxes in Conrail. Nice!

Understood.  It will be cool though to see all of those classic Kadee schemes done authentically.  One of the "Original 9" is in the first release in the form of the ATSF Grand Canyon Line.

How correct is the NS Pier 6 car? I know a buddy that got two of the from NSE.

Wonder what that will do to the worth of the NSE members cars.

An awful lot of foobs!  Ie. the Evans gons????  Thought this was vorboten on "Master Line" models?

What Atlas needs is new tooling, not putting foobs out....

It appears to be correct.  Both models are based on the same prototype (100-ton hopper).

Gotta amortize the tooling!  Given that all the schemes previously released have been prototypical, it's hard to fuss about this one.  Particularly when they do put out multiple newly-tooled models annually.  New tooling still due this year — PS-3 coal hopper, Alco S-2.
