I will be all over Bachmann's C&O Berkshire, Lord willing.  Especially if the sand dome is in the correct location.
Modeling the C&O in Kentucky.

Why in the h3!! does Atlas keep releasing the ugly "Pepsi can" scheme 8-32BHWs!!???!!!??!!  They just release three numbers of them last year.  That's the third release of that scheme since they started them.  Only one in Ph  IV or V.  And yes, I need a couple PH V and think the Pepsi can scheme is ugly as sin.
rant off

Probably because they blow-out every time they offer them.

I agree, I can find the pepsi scheme out there a plenty, but I need one for my Coast Starlight. Wish they would do IV and V as well.
Attempting to model a modern Southern Pacific based in 2015/2016...

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...

Hopefully not.  Bachmann did C&O specific details on it's Heavy Mountain.  There were also the two versions of the 2-6-6-2, the USRA and the C&O specific H-4.

I feel like I should be like "rich Biv" when he was trying to wake Marty McFly up so he could understand reality...

From Spookshow's own coverage on these models...

Apart from the different tenders and the H-4's DCC features, these two models are virtually identical.

Where is the different tooling when the models are the same?  For that matter, where's the C&O version?  Like the 2-6-6-2 the pumps were on the front of the smokebox on C&O's Heavy Mountain... but this was not on any Bachmann model N-scale model that I have seen.

How/what are the differences between the C&O and the NKP/PM?

The difference is in the detail.  While having very similar specs there have been a number of very different locomotives produced over the years by prototype builders.  A Pennsy modeler would not want to settle for a steamer that didn't have a Belpaire boiler... modelers of the C&O shouldn't have to settle for anything less either.

Sorry I guess it really is hard to get a good pic at a show:

Intermountain

Broadway

Atlas. They had an S2 buried in the case, didn't ask to see it.

HO brass for Ron

MTL

Was surprised just how little there was to see there. Walther's didn't have a single N scale item. Athearn had a single mill gon and some covered hoppers. Saw the BLMA flats, but no pics. Was strange seeing all the people, like a bought N scale PC ties right from Tim Warris. And I parked under the Hotel Tony Koster was staying at. So I was walking with him the whole way back. Oh and I saw these 2 schmucks

Gotta say I'm not keen on the electrical pickup on the SW1500.

The C&O Kanawha will have the dome in the correct spot. Might just have to get one of those. The Bachmann structures are pretty cool.

The woman in grey looks like she's from one of those "only at Walmart" slideshows.

Kato was there. I saw the new F-units. A turntable was spinning with the heritage units on it. The whole thing wasn't much of a display so I just walked on by. Plus remember I try to model before 1948 so if it was a big shiny diesel I didn't even look. The layouts set up were pretty cool, but the manufactures displays weren't much at all.
