From the BN number, looks like from the following series:
610189-610213 60'   FM-Flat, former NP 66000-66024
and likely identical cars in the next series:
610214-610358 60'   FM-Flat former, NP 66100-66244

Looks like a few were still around during my era choice, so I'll buy one BN probably.   And I may actually be more interested in the NP if they ever do that one.  I think I have a photo of one of those from the early 2000's, if it's the same series.  EDIT: Yep, it is!  This is the one I shot: (this one's not my pic, just one I found online for reference) http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1733913  I actually took the photo in 2007 though...time flies.  EDIT AGAIN... Here's mine:

They would be past their 40 years for me, but maybe in MOW service?

I like reasonably sized flat cars.  And this would be fun to have 2 or 3 of.  I'm just not sure if the IC scheme is early (i.e. pre-GM&O merger); I think it is but I can't read all the data on the side of the car.

If someone cares this late at night - how do you still have these in service in 2014 with an original build date in 1956.

There are also rules where they can get an extra 10 years past the 40 for interchange service, too.  I don't know the specifics of how that works or if it would apply to a car like this.  That would still only get them to 2006 though.

Well since I model 1995-2005 . . . that sort of works.  It would have to be pretty torn up by then.

I get to procure a new Wabash flat to run in 1956.  Which is a pleasant surprise, because I thought this was strictly a 1960s prototype.
