"According to Amtrak spokeman Steve Kulm, 'With the launch of the Viewliner II, Amtrak is also launching Amtrak America... this brand will make overall service offerings clear to our customers and stakeholders. Amtrak America will utilize our Phase Three striping on the Viewliner IIs'”
To make it clear for your stakeholders You mean the government... Yeah that plan sounds like it'd make total sense to your stakeholders!!
These sound great! Amtrak needs new equipment all around, even the Superliners are getting a little dogeared. According to the article, they're slated for eastern routes, so it's unlikely Robyn and I will have the opportunity to ride full trainsets of the new stuff (our long-distance Amtrak travel is invariably west from Chicago). However, I can hope that by offering some relief for the fleet, there will be a program to cycle the Superliners through a refurb.Edit courtesy of Department of Redundancy Department.
