What is Phase VI? I've seen this elsewhere, and to my knowledge there is only phase V for current locomotives, and Phase IVb for other equipment? Though I would also consider the new viewliners a Phase IIIb.Chris
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amtrak_paint_schemes explains the phases nicely.
I know my phases of Amtrak very well, but that did not answer my question. What is Phase VI? or 6? There is none. And would the new viewliners just be considered Phase IIIb, as they are a variant of them with also the Phase I Pointless Arrow logo. That's all I'm asking. I don't see it being a "6" with only this set of cars getting the treatment.I'll stop questioning silly stuff I guess. Chris
Ok that doesn't make much sense. Phase IVb would in essence by Phase V as that is the removal "Superliner" on the Is and IIs and the addition of the Acela logo, and color tints. Still where does Phase VI even come into play? Phase IVb would be an in between of IV and V as its not exactly one or the other. I don't understand how anyone that could call IVb as VI. There is no such thing as Phase V for non-locomotives. That's what I'm confused about. How can you skip a Phase for equipment? There is no Phase VI locomotives is there? There was so many variants to paint on Phase V locomotives. IE where the bottom blue and gray separation was. The small Amtrak and Acela logo on the cab doors.
