Doug,
I think the 60' TBOX variety will sell well for whichever company decides to do it. It seems like there are a dozen of them in every manifest train I see on the I-5 route in CA.

Ryan, I don't disagree with that.   They were initially out of my era, but since I've moved up a couple of years I probably should revisit.

Nevertheless, my pic was simply an extremely thinly veiled attempt at poking fun at the propensity for BLMA and Exactrail to release the same models there for a while.

Just realized I have some ME flex track and hence measured the distance over 30 ties and it comes out to 4.15" which is 55' in N, so thats 55' from far wheel to far wheel so it could be a 60' car, If it is I would say it is a 70 ton 60' hy cube boxcar hopefully from the 60's like a former PC car or a 70's berwick 60' hy cube. So there is my forensic analysis. :D

So that means I'm wrong saying it's a 50' car?

Hmm... Kiz is heartbroken...

The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

John, not fair at all.  Here I was, thinking my wallet was safe, and that this was just going to be one more 1990 era whatever, and you post that picture.  Wonder if it could be backdated 10 years into an ATSF rebuilt FT-T?  I'd only need 6 or 8 to haul trailers around with.......

So I guess this:

https://www.tangentscalemodels.com/product/60gscflatcar-undecorated-ovalhole/

60' long.

70 ton trucks.

BLMA does HO Tangent models in N.

I think you are correct.

Any pics of the prototype?

I see what you did there!  :D

Would be a nice car all round! And BLMA already make nice ASF 100 ton RB trucks that would fit the bill....

If it's a 54' car, another reefer does make a lot of sense

What's between 60 and 50 feet, rides on 70T trucks, has been done by Tangent???

52' Bethlehem Gondolas for one thing...   There are a lot of flat cars out there, not so many gons and very few
in the 1950-1990ish  time period.

Take it to the bank, it's a gondola.

Other than AC and SOO who had bulkhead gondolas ? Don't know if 2 roads warrant the expense .

Uh oh, if you're right I may need to take out a home equity loan:
