Below is a photo of the pilot model for what was scheduled to be the next ESM/MTL collaboration project: A Southern Pacific tri-level auto rack with anti-vandal mesh screen panels. The X-bracing (pre-painted) and mesh panels are etchings, with the remainder of the model constructed from conventional MTL auto-rack parts and decorated similarly to the Erie Lackawanna bi-level introduced last year.
Photo hints of the model have been dropped over the past few months on various social media. Sadly, the project has been canceled due to production issues. But the pilot model shows what would have been.
Ironically, this would have been the first ESM release of a model decorated for a road/entity based in the west.
