Bestine Users Speak Up

Recently I ordered my first products off Shapeways and now that they've arrived it's time to clean them.  From what I can tell Bestine is good at cleaning the off 3D print wax.  Is there a specific advantage Bestine has over other things like Goo-Gone or soap and water in the cleaning process?  Also how long should a soak in Bestine last to remove any wax?

Bestine (heptane) is a simple soak process, just slightly agitate a couple of times. ~24 hours and the support wax is gone. I can't begin to imagine the amount of scrubbing it would take to remove the wax with soap and water; there's still a healthy amount of scrubbing with Goo Gone.

That said, a little scrubbing is usually good provided you're not going to break off fragile details. It helps soften the aliasing artifacts.

Best thing about Bestine is that your model won't smell like Goo-Gone when you're done

Goo-Gone seems to leave a residue (and makes your model smell pretty).  Soap Detergent and water do not fully remove the waxy residue.

I do  Bestine overnight. Nice and crispy clean with all the printing imperfections visible.

Goo Gone won't work.  Use Bestine and follow the advise above or in the numerous threads previously posted.

I have an SEM at work and have been tempted to do some imaging before and after cleaning. That would be worth another 30 pages and I don't have the time and energy for all that.

Where do y'all buy Bestine?  I haven't found it locally, so I guess I'll have to order it online.  I have a BQ23-7 cab that I bought months ago that still needs a bath.
