Good looking turnout there Gareth. It might just be me, but those ties look awfully big. Raiding you EM supplies?

2mm supplies. In N they measure about 11" so they are a little wide.

Gareth
I like the way you have used those small brass turned tools
it really looks like there are very useful in the soldering of the turnout pieces
if your friend ever wants to make some for sale I would opt in on each, even in multiples.
I am also thinking that the pc board ties have created a super strong turnout
even though the ties be a little wide it looks very durable.
thanks for sharing the photos and process

appreciation...

Yes, those roller gauges are very cool; the 2mm association sells something very similar, but of course for "2mm" scale with the gauge a bit wide for us. They also have a number of other tools, jigs and gadgets that are useful for track laying, if you can navigate through the terminology of sleepers, chairs and buffers...
If nothing else, those guys do awesome work; very inspirational...

That explains it. And I found that track you were talking about. One of the modelling magazines did a review of it. IIRC, it was in Model Rail.

You might want to give Proto87 Stores a peek at www.proto87.com    Andy Reichert's turnout diagrams are much more detailed than Fast Track, but his selection is sparse.  Also has super detailing parts for track and turnouts there too.  Give it a look and see what you think.
