Blast you Atlas!! I promised myself I'd curb the train spending. You just had to release 4 GN numbers. Didn't you? Didn't you? There goes this months budget. All shot to help. (That's right. I said help.)

Grumble. grumble. Piss n' moan. Where's my checkbook?

Back to plastic wheels? Ugh...
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

It's the right era for me, but the wrong roadnames. Besides, I have more than enough cars.

Hmm... 2996, to be
exact...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Are those body-mounted couplers I see on the Great Northern hopper?  If so, this a huge step forward for Atlas.

I don't think so. I see shadow between the bracing and the red coupler box making me think it's still truck mounted. Kinda think if Atlas switched to body mounts that they might list that feature in the bullet list up top of the page. But I've been wrong before.

I'm looking at an Atlas truck with coupler right now. I see a couple of things that make me think the couplers ARE body-mounted.

First, the Great Northern car is red. The coupler pocket is red, top and bottom. That would mean the truck would have to be red too, since the top of the coupler box is part of the truck. The truck looks black to me.

Second, the top of the lid extends completely across the pocket. On a regular truck-mounted coupler, the lid has an indentation in the center, so that it doesn't extend out as far as the coupler box sides.

Hmm... Sherlock Kiz...

Atlas confirmed here in January that the hoppers will have body mount couplers.

Couplers are body mounted.  The test shots that were shown during the summer did not have the body mounts on them, but the tooling was completed since and the couplers are body mounted.

Best wishes, Dave

Focus on the plastic wheels.

We need more of everything and there's still many open hopper designs that could be done and sell as well an any car that you'd prefer to see.

In Ukraine . . . definitely, though you may have to accept payment in Rubles.

Here . . . you could run the customized angle . . . might net a few sheckels.
