There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

TrueLine Trains has had this on their website for over a year but no updates.

Oh these are not the same as their previous cars. I may get a few if they have any schemes good for the 1990's. I wish they would rerun their smooth side newsprint cars though.

Several years ago, but there was an error in the first run of the newsprint cars - which I believe was corrected on subsequent runs.

But you bring up an interesting topic, despite all the forums, magazines, out there - some of these interesting models somehow get completely passed over. You have to wonder if model RR sales would be better if some better marketing was practiced by the manufacturers and distributors.

A year past my cutoff time for the these cars in their original liveries... I can live with the shame IF these see the light of day.

Advertising would help... maybe the info was passed on to distributors and dealers to test the water instead of looking for individual reservations?

Earth calling Puddington.....Earth calling Puddington....

TLT is a Canadian Company and I suspect they don't have the marketing clout of, say, Atlas or MicroTrains. But then, most Canadian companies don't spend a lot on marketing or advertising. (Disclosure: I am Canadian)

Ever heard of Godin guitars? The quality is right up there with Gibson. But few non-players have heard of them....Everyone, including non-players, has heard of Gibson.

The good thing is: More Canadian prototype for us!. Now if only they would make an N Scale CNR Vanderbilt tender.

Isn't Canadian advertising nationalized?

If you are in to Canadian stuff you should get yourself a PWRS account so that you are, if nothing else on their mailing list. Yes I know there is not a lot of love for them from some of you but they have regular updates that keep you in the loop, and some quality renditions of Canadian rolling stock unique to PWRS.

Mike, what's your cut-off again? Late 1980s IIRC?

The first run is the 1989-1990 version.

CNIS 412000-412099 10-11/1989
CNIS 413200-413599 11/1989-1/1990
ONT 7400-7449 1-2/1990

Similar cars (but with slightly different details) were built for CP (CPI), CN (CNIS) and ONT from the late 1970s.

1987-89, but I'll live with the 1990 built cars in the as delivered image. Unfortunately for this run, four of the 1989 cars are noted as in the cn.ca image and two are not, however when you reserve you can generally not request a specific car.

That's ridiculous. What kind of system doesn't let you pick a paint scheme?

Individual numbers fine, but appropriate paint schemes are kind of important...

On pre-orders IF the six packs are to be broken up to sell singles, it is a pretty common rider for the seller so that they don't sit on a bunch that no one wants. It has been this way with TLT in the past with six packs. If they are actually selling singles then it wouldn't be the case. I can't blame the sellers for this... should not be expected to sit on inventory for any reason.

So looking at the Walthers site, it appears they are indeed taking reservations for individual cars, no?   Just not certain ones from their preorder list.   The one I had on my wanted list, "(1) True Line Trains TLT 600832 NSC 50' Exterior Post Newsprint Car CNIS 413549 1990 CN Noodle Straight door post" doesn't seem to be there.   I think they are only doing a subset of their original list. EDIT: Strangely, that particular number seems to be the ONLY one they're not doing?  What are the chances?

You know, I *get it* that they're not Atlas, but they do have a decent Facebook page and should be able to get the word out.   Last time I looked there was nothing about the boxcars.  Admittedly I wasn't following them though...I am now.
