I like how you've limited flowers to the outside of the fence.  Cows are great at mowing down a pastures.  Even getting on their knees to duck under where its greener.

But... umm... maybe it just the old dairy farmer in me, but your fence needs some help! 

Either you need to extend the fence parallel to the track off the right of way (more common).

If neither of the above, at least stick an errant cow w/ calf out near the road - likely eating at the road edge!

The "sow's ear" style is the only kind I remember from the Northwest in the 60s and 70s. 

Some farmers didn't use them, though, as apparently Northwest cows aren't the brightest.  They'd just run the fence up to the road, and paint parallel white lines across the pavement.  It seems that the cows didn't care if there were really holes between the "bars" or not, they wouldn't risk it.
