I understand that these cars are in the same container as the code 55 track

Hmm... don't tell me it
will take years for me to
get my cars...

Um, even if they started producing these now (one per month), isn't there couple hundred cars in the series?  The series would take a long time to complete.  :D

There's only 118 with the 118th one being Ununoctium. Interesting thing about that one is that there have only been a TOTAL of three atoms of it produced (one in 2002, two in 2005)...I was going to compare this with some N scale manufacturers reservation announcements but thought better of it.

Still, that would be 118 moths to complete the series - almost 10 years!  :D

OK, so we have Schnott Triggers and now moths that make model freight cars?

It is the third of the month already...

You should include couplers on the noble gases.  While helium and neon haven't yet been observed in compounds, argon, krypton, xenon and radon have.  Xenon forms quite a few compounds, the first one found being xenon hexafluoroplatinate.

I think this would probably sell as well as most of the "collector series" that have been made, and should be seriously considered.  One possible idea is to put the liquids and gases on tank cars, for variety.  Some of them could be prototypical, chlorine tankers being quite common.  And, of course, N scale could always use a good helium car.

Bump, kudos to Atlas!
Today I received a handful of the 6' door PS1 versions recently released by Atlas. The cars are beautiful, as are the finishes and lettering. Three different types of doors, nicely etched running boards, body mounted couplers, and free-rolling fine metal wheels. Atlas, thank you, you've come a long way, baby!
(Well, one of the running boards has a bow in it, but easily fixed).

Got another one today, the Chicago Great Western car. Very nice...
I wish we had more six-foot door versions of this very common car available...
