Can't quite read the signs in the photo, but how did you make them reflective?
Works perfectly.One reason is that the road paving is sheet styrene carefully cut like puzzle pieces to fit around the points. The cosmetics aren't the greatest mostly because it's Unitrack, but hey, it works. (And I'm assuming you meant "turnout embedded in the street..." )
Is it possible to get some very thin styrene glued on the tops of the Unitrack ties and ballast? Actually also to the ties under the moveable rails too so there's no binding. This might have to be done by sanding the ties before installing the switch. You can't really fill that area in but maybe can blank out the cast-on detail so they're not as noticeable. Just a thought for future use.
If only there was a way for you to hook up all your mini-layouts together. That would look pretty neat.
If this was a "serious" layout, ...
David, can you tell us what you used for the curbing on the sidewalk, for the drive way, and the storm drain with a picture. Is it how you did it on the JRB?
