Designing Needs Good Eyes!

Thought we disappeared? Wait until you see the kit announcements below.

Just when we had the new studio ready and the new laser up and running we hit a wall. Our primary Design Engineer/Laser Technician has had a tough time focusing on close up work. A visit to the ophthalmologist has revealed not one, but two cortical cataracts. Bummer, but the good news is the first eye will be surgically repaired April 10th followed shortly by the second surgery.

In the meantime, we've been getting ready.

There are bound to be items below that interest you. Feel free to visit our website but these are not up there yet. We'll release what we can, as soon as we can and will let you know when they are for sale.

Prices on the kits have yet to be determined.
Feel free to ask questions and we'll answer as fast as we can.

Must have that bridge!  How many lanes and does that include sidewalks?

I really like the home under construction -- It'll be a lot better than the partially-finished brick home under construction that I've got now for the area I model, and I likely will be thinking more than one of them.

I also need a speeder shed (and speeder) for Galena Jct.

Now, please can you tell us some things about the (N-scale) bridge?  What is the height under the arch, and what is the width under the arch?
What is the distance center-to-center under the arches?  What is total length of the span?  What is the roadway width?  (I am thinking "how will I fit the Illinois Route 2 bridge over my tracks at Oregon?  :D)

Thanks!
Regards,
Paul

The homes under construction can be "deconstructed" to add neato stuff like roof trusses to the back lot at 84 Lumber!

That is cool!

Lee - there are a few manufacturers that already produce laser cut trusses, though depending on the price of this kit, that may be a good alternative.

I'm in for the bridge...or two...

Since I first introduced the bridge on TRW (yes, you guys saw it first) I have redesigned it so that multiple units can easily be seamlessly connected end on end to span whatever length is necessary for a particular scene. The basic one span bridge includes end pieces to allow the modeler to blend it into whatever scenery is at each end.

Lee, tell you what. I could offer sheets of just the trusses as an extra accessory option. For those who haven't put together a SBM kit before, I score the narrow "tabs" that fret parts together so that each piece can just about be pushed out. However I strongly recommend using a hobby knife. My point being is you won't notice a bunch of tab marks on your trusses and it is a more affordable way to get them.

I already have a 2 story version drawn up and am planning on a variety of home and commercial structure designs to follow. Included in the kits will be boards for stacking and/or laying around the project, etc. You'll have to provide the tool belts for your Preiser guys though  :D

Links, links, links. We need links to click to buy.

Nice work. That bridge looks a great deal like a railroad bridge in town here.

The homes under construction should prove very popular. I need a subdivision. :)
