Billboard looks good but it is awfully close to the edge of the road.  Maybe instead of making it free-standing you should just hang it on the stone wall (and remove the trellis)?

BTW, I have artwork for Mayflower and Allied movers (Loren Perry from Gold Medal Models graciously gave me copy of his artwork) so someday I'll print the decals for the Ultimate N Scale resin cast moving van bodies. Just another one of my many do-do projects. . .

Count me in for Mayflower decals.

What I need to do is to use the original Ultimate N Scale moving trailer and cast more of them for myself (they are out of production). And/or modify the artwork to fit another suitable trailer (if there is such a thing).

I thought that there was still old moving-van stock available at the new site when I checked.  Still, I have to review the photo I have to see it the van is the same prototype.  If it isn't, I'll have to find something suitable as well.  But it's good to know that you have period-specific Mayflower artwork.

I like it where it is...although you're modeling a different locale,  it reminds me of areas I've railfanned in around PA, WV and Western Maryland and looked over in old books...a blue collar working man's town...

About 7-8 years ago I found 2 separate AB Intermountain FT sets on ebay and lucky me they both had the same numbers since Erie called all 4 a "locomotive". All 4 were less than $100. Later on Erie would put the road number on the side at the rear like 704A 704B 704C 704D, but that was close to the EL days. EL would number them 7041 7042 7043 7044. Also no radio equipped script yet. EMD units usually stayed on the east side of the system, Alcos out west. I found this photo showing a set of FT's on the west side of Warren around 1945 since they still have the delivered scheme (no yellow nose and wings)

Back of the train is coming from NYC, headed towards Chi-town. To the right was Youngstown and left was Cleveland. So they did make it to the Mahoning div. in my era.




I took them all apart to paint the sideframes. Popped the front glass out so I could weather/Dullcote them. On both A units I had to file down the circuit board screws so the shell fit down even with the B units. Sucked in the A unit couplers 1/16" and the B units 1/8". So I reduced the B-B gap by 1/4" !!! Already thinking about making shorter A-B drawbars    Clipped the lights from the board  and put MV lens in. Still need to put the glass back in.

Chris, what did you use for the bushes in the foreground in front of the track? they look very fine and detailed. I really admire your layout, and it's giving me a lot of great ideas for mine (especially the building fronts along the back and the backdrop work).

Thanks. It is from Scenic Express called "Super Turf" They are like little clumps of lichen. Then a sprinkle on a couple different shades of "Super Leaf". There are also a few Silflor tufts in there as well.
