Man Chris, your layout is so beautiful, that it KILLS me that Conrail would've torn it all up...

Seriously man, I'm a huge fan.

Maybe so, but some early 70s Erie Lackawanna trains pulling lots of Penn Central rustbuckets would be downright pornographic on that layout.

Finished up the small sub station. Parts from ConCor (I think),Tomix, and Central Foundry.

This water tower as been floating around here for years so I found a spot for it. In real life it would probably have a concrete foundation by now, but I like the way this turned out many years ago. The water crane is over @ the station platform.

And Hornberger Coal is ready for the winter rush!  :D

Here's a 1948 billboard to go with your 1948 station:

I think the one you have may be from an earlier decade, looks like the Twenties.

Are you going to make up decals for the "Lubrication" and "Washing" signs?

Had the decals, but they must have been old. By the time I Dullcoted them it was too late. Anyone have a spare Microscale 60-969 for sale?

Part request HELP!  :|

I need a right (engineer side) handrail for an Atlas S2 switcher. AF3504-024R. Pretty please.

I was soldering the wires together after disassembly for re-paint and accidentally nicked the handrail.

Incidentally when I first bought the locomotive the left handrail had a kink in it so I ordered a new part from Atlas. The Atlas part was unpainted, but had the same kink. Now they don't show either handrail at their site. Someone must have bought them up.

If anyone has the part to spare please let me know.

Just use the iron to dent and ding up the railings all over. Looks cool.

My LHS, Mainline Hobby Supply is showing them on their website.  I could stop by and pick up, put them in mail if the site is true.  They list them in N and HO scale if that helps.

Excellent.  I'm going to have to try to get some kickback for some of the sales I've gotten them  :D  I've been asked, I think somewhat jokingly, to work weekends once or twice.  I can just "work" by watching message boards for things that people are looking for and direct them to Mainline  :D :D :D

I prefer black  ;)  But seriously it would take you a while to get them off  :scared:  Have to remove the hood and then pry the walkway up to get to the handrails out. Not that I'm giving instructions though
