Cool flickr album.  Are you going to add those 7-arm code poles?

Yes the siding was behind the photographer. It was a long complex.

Is your goal to cover the area left of the town, excluding the track and water, with trees? All the way down to the riverbanks? Some trees hanging low over the water?
Wow, that will look cool.

The plan is to keep planting till I like the way it looks  ;)

Another 9 got planted tonight and 9 more are painted in tweezers and ready for flocking.

Once I get a group planted I spray the whole thing with matte medium to bond them into shape and hold em' still.

So I was thinking  :scared:

I last ended up using Showcase Miniatures Bartlett building here on the left:

Now I'm wondering if I need more city buildings here. Sort of like this, but not these buildings:

Was thinking about using a DPM bruces bakery along with a smaller kitbash, like this:

Maybe even a gas station like this: https://www.showcaseminiatures.net/n_scale/n_scale_structures/125.html

In the foreground will be a lot with a team track ramp.

A Gas station would look good there.

Yeah, that's my thought too.

Well this station is nice, but just doesn't fit right:

This one fits nicely, but looks a litte lot toy like:

It needs a lot of work. Hey Bryan didn't you fix up on of those WS built-ups, got any pics?

Could you add another building to it like the one in the Showcase link you posted?
I agree it looks a little whimpy all by itself.
Also what about filling out the rear of it with a fenced yard with junk cars or towed cars?

hey Chris
so good to see you working on this build
it is certainly one of my favorites
and i missed following along

wondering...could you bash using both kits
attaching the service station part of building
to the other gas station? or is that part of
the toyish look or what makes it too big for
that spot?

just thinking out loud

thanks

We'll see what we can do  :D

The details are nice. Everything just needs toned down and cleaned/re-painted before assembly. The front and side windows need to be mulit-pane. So I'll fix that and see what it looks like. New roof wouldn't hurt either.

EDIT:
I just found they sell this building as a kit as "Sonny's Super Service" I'm gonna buy that and start over.
