I made some new tackboards for a pair of (HO) Intermountain 50' PS-1 boxcars because I didn't care for the original Intermountain part. I find the dividing lines between the boards far too crude, they're almost as wide as the boards.

New parts scratchbuilt from 2x6 and 2x3 strip.

Worked on the Clubs Ntrak Balloon Module Friday & Saturday. Just placing structures and pouring a lot of gravel for service yard. Still a ton of details to go.

OK I messed up the links will try again when I'm smarter!

Wow: so much good work this week.
And then Mark rocks us all with that masterwork of a bridge!

Just finished editing and uploading the video of our Free-moN layout at the Toy & Model Train Expo (Santa Clara, CA):

I think it was our largest layout yet (folded into a 40'x40' space):

with several new modules, including the new wye insert for Effett Yard:

Fun stuff!
More photos over on the Layout Engineering Report: https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=28047.210

Have a groovy week

I spent the weekend operating Copenhagen Fields at an exhibition. Lots of fun, but exhausting. Took some pictures.

Those last two locomotives are scratch built and over 30 years old now. Both have done many actual miles. That's my finger for scale.

It's 2mm finescale. 1:152, track gauge is 9.42mm. There are some modern N locomotives that have had the wheels reworked so that they can be used but mostly it's scratch/kit built.

Gareth,

Would you happen to have a photo of the mangle used to lay the staging "slot"?
Thanks for your time,

Dick

I don't think Google drive will do what you need for photo hosting/posting, but Google Picasa definitely will.

I realized that one of my industries is physically incapable of handling one of the types of freight it's supposed to be receiving. Tore out a good size chunk of it. New section will have to be larger. Good thing I've always envisioned that place as being an eccentric collection of old buildings and annexes.

Well its not a Mark Dance, but after some added weathering and details, I think my stone bridge came out alright.

Thanks for looking!
