I'm going to add my voice to the 70' chorus - or 60'.  80' is less desirable to me than either of those.
If you do 70' (my preference), just pick a different prototype than WOT did - preferably with the doors further apart.

I'd probably only buy one 80' car, but three or four 70' cars. - or I'd use the 80' car for kitbashing.

I for one will buy any baggage car you make in CB&Q, GN, MR that you make.  I will gladly sell off my WOT 70' baggage cars for any baggage cars you produce!

Too bad you don't have the interchangeable door option like WOT ... otherwise you could use 6 solid doors/clerestory roof for baggage-express, and "livestock" doors/rounded roof with lots of vents to be a horse car.  You could probably cover a lot of roads with that duo.

Not that the blueprints show. I'll have to check in the morning to see if there were any other similar types that had porthole windows.

No.  The only New Haven heavyweight done was the RPO and that was back in 2009.  The only roads they've done that actually had the Plan 3416 parlor were PRR and B&O, and the PRR cars were ice-cooled while the B&O cars were never blue/gray AFAIK.  Everything else has been a foob, even though there are nearly a dozen roads that actually had it.  The road that owned the most Plan 3416 parlors with mechanical A/C was the New York Central — by far — and they haven't touched that road other than the Grand Central limited set (which didn't feature any cars the NYC actually had).  New Haven had a few of the Plan 3416 parlors which they later converted to commuter cars.  New Haven also had Plan 3410 sleepers (12-1) and Plan 2585 sleepers (close to the Plan 3585 10-1-2).  And the RPO is close, but they did the as-built scheme which was gone by 1920.

That Erie bag is cool - it could/would/should introduce another truck variant - the top equalized style that many roads used under various cars (IC, NKP, Santa Fe and others - CP had a heavier version).  This car would look good in a host of schemes, also with a Harriman roof, and please make these trucks available for those of us who could use them to re-truck various railroad owned cars.

I have some photos and can locate a set for measurements if necessary.

I don't see the logic at all in tooling a baggage car when 1) there is a good model with multiple configurations already on the market, and 2) there are plenty of other prototypes available to tool that would have wide appeal and spread out over multiple roads/schemes.  A solarium observation, for example.  Why purposely get into another FT or bay window situation?

Maybe Joe has detected a market desire to model mail trains like the Milwaukee's Fast Mail.  IMO, they're sexy.

I can't pass up adding my vote for a 60' NYC car.  Seems like every mail train the Central ran was full of 60 footers.  But, I think that Erie car would work for a lot more modelers, and I wouldn't be too sad to see it done.

The 80-foot baggage car was the exception. Make one if you must.
I would rather see the 60-foot NYC baggage car. Seems like a much more useful addition to the fleet.
Speaking of fleets, I would be inclined to buy multiples of the 60-footer instead of just one of the 80-foot cars.

ACF made the bulk of NYC Steel Baggage Cars, but there are A LOT of variations between Lot numbers and rebuilds. The NYCHS would be a great resource you could take advantage of.
