Belatedly,
Here's the show we're talking about in case somebody doesn't know:

http://www.unwclub.org/unwshow.html

Some of you have surely been to this before and have a lot of experience with the lay of the land.
Can you suggest a good place to meet?  I'll be there all day Saturday, so any time is fine with me.
I do think it's a great idea for us to agree on a time and place so we can actually meet.
Looking forward to it.
Hey, how can I get to be a member of the A$$Hat West Coast Group?

Mt rainier n scalers is uaually a pretty prominant layout, I still vote we meet there, at whatever time, at a specific module. Maybe the t section that leads to the yard?

I'll be there with some dudes from AK and another guy from Spokane.

Not sure what time we'll be leaving, but I'd be up for meeting some of you guys.

I propose we shoot for 12 noon or 1 PM, after people have had a few hours to roam the show and digest it a little.
Having lunch together is fine by me, and that would be a good time.   I have emailed the show organizer to see if they have a
floor map they can email me.

I am going up to Seattle via Amtrak with my wife so we can enjoy what I'm told is a beautiful and scenic short trip.
We'll be doing that Friday to have a day just for us.    She's a good egg and likes my trains, but not enough
to spend a whole day at a massive show, so she will be off to visit with family up there while I go to
the show on Saturday.

Here is a map the show organizer sent me.
I think the Mt Ranier N Scale area does look like a good spot.  This is the main building.
There are benches near the Mt Ranier N Scalers and the Pacific Northwest On30 booth right next to them.

This map, and others will be freely available at the show, I am told by the organizers.

Since this will go 'round and 'round forever unless somebody chooses, let's say that whoever wants
to meet up, just be over at the Mt Ranier booth at 1 PM.

Alright it's settled! Mt Rainier N-Scale Ballard Why Modules at 1.  Hey that'll be easy cause I'm right there. But anytime you guys want to stop by and BS is Ok with me. I'll have a gold MRNS name tag on and a "Phoebe Snow" pin on my MRNS hat :ashat:
For those that don't know, Ballard Why is the "front" of our layout. It would be at the "top" of our space at aisle 3. My corner module will be at the upper right corner, that's where I usually hang out when I'm not running a train. Make sure you ask me to show you my house under construction, I got the trusses up.
Mike, I can't promise anything as I'm not sure how many members will be running trains, but I'll see what I can do.
Max, You'll be pretty safe with a Pennsy Shirt, as there won't be many people that will recognize what it says.
Old East, If you're here, you must already be a member.
Oh  crap, we're next to the Lionel Guys, anyone with a question about whether to do sound or not, these guys should help with that.
I can't wait to tell our club members that Pacific Northwest Asshats will be descending upon the layout.

Besides the Great Train Expo, this is the biggest and best show in the area and has been for many years. Lots of good dealers, lots of N-Scale, and lots of layouts. There is usually a food booth open on the grounds near the show, so you don't have to leave for lunch.

Of the A$$Hat West Coast Division, I assume.
This should be interesting to meet you guys. Monroe is always a wild card when it comes to stuff you'll find there. Once I got 9 Rapido heavyweights in PRR colors for $19 -- maybe not that big a deal except I'd been talking to my co-rider on the way to Monroe about hoping someday to find such a cache.
There's also a prizes drawing, and for the rail fan the BNSF has a line running right past the corner of the complex. It's the line to Boeing assembly plant in Monroe, so sometimes some unique cars and loads go rolling past.

Max, I will be running trains at the Mt Rainier N Trak layout.  Please come buy and say Hi.  On Saturday I will wear a black Tacoma Rail ball cap.

Thanks Greg. I'll bring the climax again, and probably the A4, although till have to borrow some freight to pull with it, if the stars align......

A bit OT but does anyone remember when they had the N scale convention there?  I have the Duluxe Woodchip car they did for the show but it doesn't have ( and I can't remember) the year.

I'll bring the wide angle lens and flash in case there is an opportunity for a group RW shot.

Wish I could make it, but it's not in the cards this weekend.  Please do post photos.  It would be great to see a PNW  :ashat: group shot!

Thanks, Tim!   That would be great.   I miss going to Timonium a few times a year and catching up with old
friends from the Atlas Forum. I'm hoping that this show will be the west coast "Timonium".
People have been hinting about bringing stuff to run.  I won't be doing that this time.  I am far too nervous
to let my recent mega-projects (the 4-4-2 and 4-6-2) leave the house.

If you wear a Broncos shirt, it might stand out, and if you can stand the heckling, it would
work.

Does anyone know if this show has a consignment or "White Elephant" table, where you can put
your own stuff for sale, and pay them a cut of the take in exchange for selling it for you?
