Anyone going to Monroe, WA train show?

This is a first for me, being a transplanted East Coaster now living in Oregon.   I used to
frequent the Timonium, MD shows when I lived in PA, and I'm looking forward to what appears to be
a pretty massive show this  Feb 1, 2.

I expect to be there all day Feb 1 from doors-open (10 am).

I believe there is a contingent from Vancouver, BC going down, Max.  I had hoped to go but, unfortunately, I have a conflict on my calendar for both Saturday and Sunday and won't be able to make it.  Hope to have a chance to meet you at one of the NMRA meets in the Pacific Northwest this year or next - I am definitely intending to be at the NMRA National in Portland next year.

Cheers,

I am going down on Saturday.  I went last year and it was worth the trip.  Highly recommended, Max.

Crap.
I'm going up to visit aunts and uncles in Seattle in a few weeks or so.
Wish I had know about the show.
Would have changed plans, come up earlier and brought up a layout for show (like my folding 1'x6' "Alameda-Belt-in-a-Box").

And why isn't the Pacific Northwest Free-moN group not showing?
(I know it's hard to herd all cats into one space...)

Railwire is 10lbs of Eastern railways stuffed in a 5 GB bag -- any chance for us Asshats West of the Rockies to get together should be trumpeted from the heavens  :D  (and weeks or months ahead of time so we can get there: WC Asshats have many more miles to go than our EC brethren).

Anyone showing up on Sat, stop by Mt Rainier N-Scale and say hello. :ashat:
Max, I'll be the guy with DL&W, E-L, and D&H trains. They kinda stand out in a sea of greens and oranges.
I'll be there all day Sat.
Won't be there Sunday, because.....

GO  SEAHAWKS!

Its only 50 miles from home and I never miss Monroe show
I think it is one of the better shows we have here in the NW
A few more from the club will probably venture down also.

Glad to see some folks from here will be at the show.   I used to be able to meet up
with Atlas Forum folks at the Timonium shows, and it was a pleasure.

Well, I have no idea about the organization of this, other than what I see on the website, and it looks to be huge,
occupying 3 large buildings, so I have no idea how anyone will find me.

I could wear an NP or SP&S shirt, but somehow I doubt that will stand out in Washington State.

So I'll go with the 5-stripe PRR maroon sweatshirt.

You didn't think I threw them all away, did you?? :D

Yes, three buildings or so as I recall, with lots of vendor tables and a few modular layouts to see.

It'll be the dark green PGE-BCR Modellers sweatshirt for me.

This is turning into a a$$hat west coast meet! I'm in, I'll cancel my other plans....

We should set a time and place to meet. Maybe at one specific module at mt rainier n scales layout?

Hey Greg, if I bring some equipment, mainly the class b climax and A4, think I could get some run time?

Belatedly,
Here's the show we're talking about in case somebody doesn't know:

http://www.unwclub.org/unwshow.html

Some of you have surely been to this before and have a lot of experience with the lay of the land.
Can you suggest a good place to meet?  I'll be there all day Saturday, so any time is fine with me.
I do think it's a great idea for us to agree on a time and place so we can actually meet.
Looking forward to it.

Not only meet, but go to lunch as a group. The guys who spend all their money before lunch and have none for eating can at least talk.
