Thanks--it's all Kibri factory. Combined two kits to double the height of the brick portion.

Got the car crusher from a guy on Facebook. He posted a pic of some he put on some flat cars.  I PM'd him and ask if he sold them. He molds them and weathers them/ includes the car. $25  I will see if he is a member here.

I haven't posted to Weekend Update for quite qwhile.  Here are some shots that I took when I got the layout ready for the NMRA Tour that came through two weeks ago.












I was in the process of some scenery upgrades when the tour was scheduled so I stopped where I was and cleaned up the mess.  Don't get excited, the track nails come out when the ballast goes down   The icing platform serves Beecher Meats in the background.










Finally, I just started the refinery complex which is a combination of two Walthers North Island refinerys, Walthers tanks, TomyTec refinery and Kibri tanks.

I made some good progress this week.  I have 6 Walthers ballast hoppers which I heavily modified to represent BC Rail 2800 series ballast cars and three of them got decals.







I also stripped the lettering off of some Atlas CN Hart ballast cars and made an attempt at recreating re-stenciled BCR cars.







I also made a wooden form and used boiling water to straighten some warped wood chip hopper kits that were assembled from flat styrene.



And finally I stripped the CP Rail marking s off of a couple of Atlas double door box cars and added E & N markings.  They still need numbers.

Well done Craig.  One good BCR post deserves another, I think, so here goes.

After the rivet decal marathon and prior to the window glass marathon, I was up for something a little more interesting.  These two Briggs Models NSC exterior post double door boxcars were the last of the current crop of models awaiting decals:




Next up for these cars are paint defect repairs, weathering and seal coat, and mounting the trucks.

Work on panel track car BCOL 6510 was limited this week to getting the four jacking pads installed.  Owing to the very small size of the parts, these had to be built in place:




Next up for this car are the etched detail parts.
