That is a great looking truck. But I can't help but notice we haven't seen any layout work. Is there still a layout in the works?

First time having anything to share but my Robert Ray NYC wood side caboose is starting to take shape. Once I finish the first one I hope to do the other two in quick succession.

as my wife would say, "men are only capable of one simple task at a time", I pretty much have time to focus on my trucks, and no time for the layout.  I hope that will change soon however.

I use Tru-Color paint but it's really the prep work that helps the paint stick. I first used baking soda in an old airbrush to prep the surface then used adhesive promoter that I bought at Autozone before painting.

I have some old pages about the CVS here http://home.comcast.net/~skytop35/CVS/index.html

Bill, Thanks for the info and link. The light didn't come on until I saw your web page. You're the creator of the Kingsbury Branch. It was your web page I often visited to see if there were any updates on the Kingsbury Branch or the Cumberland Valley.  Your layout was a great inspiration for me as to what could be done in "N" scale in a small space. I also purchased the Allen Keller video of the Reid brothers magnificent Cumberland Valley system and just about wore the tape out. It's just a shame Allen has retired, as there are so many more Great Model Railroads like the Kingsbury Branch that will never be captured on video.

Not to be a nit, but what about the fab Free-moN modules you were rocking last year?
Done, done and done?
Will be ready for Portland 2015?
Or flaming foam warming your room?  :scared:

I've actually had a giant duck-under blocking my apartment entrance for the past few weeks! :D

I guess I need to add some work around before I have to hand in my TRW card...

Another week of great work from all.

Added the TrainCat detail kit to the Kato Maxi 1's. Well engineered, and fits perfect.

I am going to be in for some of these things. Especially for my Arizona based layout. When I lived in AZ, I remember seeing these trailers all the time. You have some really nice N trucks. Modern ones too. I am going to have to contact you on how you get such a nice finish on your vehicles from Shapeways printings. Not because I want to use Shapeways, but so I can build some of your kits and get the same results. Damn nice if I may say so!

I began working on the PRR I1 fleet of 4.  They are Minitrix units that i added some generic details to, shortened the Boiler by 1' and made the steam chests bigger.  They still need parts yet.  Hopefully they will be ready for paint this week. I need to build tenders yet. (2 long distance and 2 short)  My scratch buildings skills arent the best so I am making passable I1's until somebody makes a good conversion kit.  Until then these will make me happy.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Not too much in the way of actual layout stuff, but I did get some more work done on the office which is also the dispatchers office.

Tile is finally in and I will start getting that down tomorrow so I can finish the bookshelves and desk. Need to repaint the one wall as well, as after I painted it I noticed how bad the wall had been sanded and not feathered properly so I had to start knocking it down.
I WANNA SEE THE BOAT MOVIE!

Yes... I'm in N... Also HO and 1:1
