No, I suspect it's modeled after the grain corn that's grown in abundance in southern Illinois. Not sweet corn.
I'm sure somebody here will want specific height, hybrid variety, ears up or ears down, stubble, pre-and post-tassel... and the fact that the ears are off by .00625 to proven dimensions of a scientific sampling, and also to indicate that 1950's typical corn can't be properly modeled by 1980's practices as it should be smaller....i.e. another C-55 vs C-80 debate just in the making!
