I reserved an NW2 at BLW a while back, but Pete always seems to get his stuff out about a week later than MBK.

Sounds like Bachmann just got a big shipment of N scale in all at once.

How dare Bachmann think they can sell a bunch of N scale without the years of advance notice it takes other manufacturers!  :o  What are they thinking, that N scalers will drop $$$ on their products over turnout jigs, static grass, and new paint on old plastic? Hmmmm.......

I don't know that there was ever an official announcement (per se). I first heard about them when they showed up in the "New at BLW" section of BLW's website last winter (at which point I reserved one of the Rock Island units). It seems that Bachmann only makes out and out announcements for brand new models.

Cheers,

Ok good so I'm not the only one in the dark. Would be cool if they had a release page like Atlas does on their website, not just browsing the company store.
