Yes, I've been laying more track.

Also over the last few months I've worked on Portola yard.

The tracks closest to the backdrop is arrival and departure tracks and the others are classification tracks.

coming into the yard from the west, looking railroad east.

That turnout is the start of a 60" icing dock.

Looking the other way

Thanks Ben and Otto

Otto, I really enjoyed your company when you and your gang was here.

Oh, the pleasure was mutual Rodney, we had a blast!
And, yea, the new Portola yard is a monster...

Thanks Ben, and yes Portola will have a nice little yard compared to Oroville yard. As I'm getting more into the operation side of things, I think that I over did the Oroville yard. The classification tracks are just too long and a few other things that I wish I hadn't done or done differently, but I not going back and change anything right now.

Gary, I do believe you could of done it if you need to.

Got the servos installed along with the control panels on all the A&D turnouts. I'm not going to do the classification side just yet. I'll wait till I know for sure I'm not going to change anything.

The new way I'm mounting servos.

 Control panels for A&D tracks.

Rodney, could you elaborate a bit on your mounting technique? How is the servo attached to the underside?
Thanks, Otto

Nice looking layout, very impressive.
Got a question about your Clio trestle bridge.
what are you using to join the beam  sections together?  inner styrene strips ??
are you using a back bone/stiffener in it??
I am asking because I am in the middle of building the NP  "Green River" trestle and mine is 56 inches long.  I am actually doing the double track.  I have already modified the micro engineering towers for a double track.  Now I am playing with a few ideas for supporting this thing.  I am looking at a wooden board, or clear square tubing or laminated 1/8 inch masonite boards.  I am trying to have the 4 beams visible from underneath,  like the real bridge.  So whats your plan
thanks
Miguel

  Miguel,

 Thanks,
I printed these to go between the 2 beam sections. As with the Keddie bridge, the towers will support the bridge.

It will be getting these too

With the PC ties for soldering the rails, glued down.

Wow Rodney, thats a great offer, and one I'll take :D
so i measured and I have 1 and 1/16 center to center.  It could get pushed to 1 and 1/8 but from all the pictures that i have seen on this ( very few exist unfortunatley ) the track is not directly on top of the outer beams as I would have though for strength.
the span is 55 inches.  I appreciate the offer a lot . !!!  not sure if you want to send one for fitting purposes, but i am game either way
thanks for the amazing offer.
heck if you make some more of those inner pieces i will defiantly pay you for all this
Thanks
Miguel
