Jason, you could always arrange a meeting with Teresa Caputo (the Long Island Medium), and enlist her services to ask permission directly from the deceased owner of Samhongsa...  :-)

Nah, he could just make a casting of a Quija board and ask them himself.

I see no issue here, please carry on.  8)

Wow, that is a ton of grinding. How much weight was lost?

No weight will be lost, one will be able to fill the void in the boiler casting with tungsten :D
I decided to use a Kato GS4 tender to due to the larger trucks.  Here is a picture of the tender body on the lengthened Kato tender frame-  I do have a few extras!

Here is the comparison between trucks of the GS4 and Bachman J.  Of course this choice was a little easier for me since I have a number of them sitting around.

I like it, Jason.  Yes, that tender has to ride low like an old Cadillac to have the right look.  It looks good.
I'm not so sure about the trucks.   The Kato trucks are bigger, but the ones you had, I think, are closer to the correct sideframe for the PRR trucks.  I looked up a drawing.  The 3-axle trucks should be 4' 6" between the wheel centers,
with 33" wheels.   (You probably already did the same thing and went to the bigger trucks for that reason).

Anyway, it's coming along nicely.  The proportions of the whole thing look about right.  It's almost hard to visualize
an M1 without that long tender behind it; it's such an important part of the whole look.

Thanks Max,

With the trucks mostly hidden I decided to go with what looks proportionately more correct.

Here is a poor video of the engine being test run.  The white urethane is hard to keep in focus... Sorry.

Should be good for us, the more Pennsy Fans, the more chances for Pennsy steam from manufactures. No, I won't mention that beautiful and famous model :)

I got side tracked on my first love.... UP & SP ( yes I count them as one). I ended up building three AC-9s.  I am now trying to go back and complete a few unfinished project/

Here is the progress on the M1.  It needs as few more details like the radio antenna( if I am not mistaken), modifying the rods, handrails to pilot and front coupler.  Let me know what else is needed or WRONG!
