Just heard that the ex PRR parlor car Queen Mary was demolishe in NJ.  It was part of a restaurant complex which was torn down.  Another piece of great railroad history gone.

That's too bad. I'm surprised that none of the historical preservation societies didn't get involved.

The historical societies may not have had either notice or time to take action.  They may also not have had interest, since rumor has it that a large chunk of one side may have been cut out when remodeled into a restaurant.  In other words, it may not have been worth the effort and expense of saving.  Regrettably.
