Mike Chandler's RR

This is where I'll be this Friday night operating on Mike Chandler's layout. What is interesting is his layout is dispatched roughly a thousand miles away by "Bill" in Calgary [Mike is in New Westminster - part of greater Vancouver]. Bill is in CP management now but was a dispatcher for CP. Bill dispatches orders to operators by a series of telephones on the layout. There will be visitors operating on Mike's layout from around BC and by some flying up from the States to attend our train show.
At the Seattle NMRA show, Mike came in first for his Berkshire built engine. He is a Master Model Railroader.
Some here have also operated on Mike's layout, Tim Horton being one, I'm not sure if Scott Calvert has or hasn't:

I had the privilege of operating on it a few months ago, but it was locally dispatched that day. He's a true craftsman.

If you want to hear Mike Chandler talk about his layout for a radio program called the Rick Cluff show on CBC radio One, go to the link below, go to Nov 7 programming and read the choices, you should see the words "model railroad" and hit on that program. The radio show is two and a half hours long, but jump to the two hour mark and the show goes into Trains 2013 and the interview with Mike Chandler starts, its about 5 minutes.
